Annual Training Camp 2008 (ANTAC 08)

Year 2008, I joined, enjoyed, understand and created something very resulteable things such as camp fire and some activities changes. But all those feeling it just my feeling, I dunno wat the committee thinking. It is no offence at all.

Talking this year ANTAC, I felt that the unique of previously (5-10years ago) training camp is come back. Why? This is because MEMBERS are enjoying this camp and they been trained as a useful scout. And committee is co-operte each other meanwhile some of committee members still argueing, but basically I think that is more than enough rather dan 2or 3 years ago training camp.

Regarding to activities, this year activites more onwards on enjoying but not training in each scouts skills and knowledge. Because activities mostly not related to scout stuff, most of it such like beach game and something like station game. 3 out of 11 activities was successful, these are Camp Fire, Moutain Climbing and Camping Standard.
1. Camp fire- This year very successful. marks given 98%. It is MEMBERS enjoying and committee and member can entertain our old PPL SCOUTERS. Its make members and scouters have a slices of memories in scouting life.
2. Mountain climbing. Marks Given 79%. Committee members were not in objective at all. They dunno even was use of moutain climbing. They thinking most proprably was just trained for staminal. This year, I as small part ppl, was joining there program to finding hiking route. Even through it is not much obstacle of it, but I think MEMBERs very enjoying in this hiking.
3. Camping Standard. Marks Given 72%.Overall Standard were increasing to years before. I was very happy, at least troop 1 member have learnt something different from before.

Last but not least, I hope our camping standard can be improve more and compete to malaysia school not even from kuching distrcit only. My sweet memories were- I dance Banana Song which I never dance it 6 years ago whereas 6 years ago I was always appointed to dance it; my relationship with members and committee was close a step to as a friends.

Hopefully, blessing and wishing we can gain and imporing our camp as soon as possible.

Changing....@_@ I Been Troop 1 Troop-In-Charge

23/12/2008, It is the time I been changed in GEC (Group Executive Council) of position, instead I be Troop 4 Troop in charge but i been transfer to Troop 1 troop in charge. Thats is the agreed all committee member on it.

I dunno whether I can ability to win over this position or not, but I really shock on what they wanna change. My mission in Troop 4 haven't complete it yet, and yet i changed to troop 1. Many things like hold it such as KIV. I hope I can win over this position of it.

The reason why they changed me to troop 1 is I have mother feeling...What the heck of this reason!! Anyway, Bless me and hope I can change some behaviour in Scout Sprit on it.

Troop 4 members, Sayonara.... troop 1 member, I coming now, behave your attitude. I very strict on scouting sprit.

19th District Camp

Year 2008, I think is the year I won't forgettable in my scouting life. 2008 is the year I coming back to committee GCE of 5th Kuching City Scout Group, therefore, I have a lot sweet memories in scouting life. B.U.T-but, this year our group had lost Lucas Chin in 19th District Camp. This Is my Ever first time our group been lost for more than 14 years.

14th Kuching Town win it, Win, Win and Win again, all the competition trophy monopoly by them. I Salute, I respect and I HATE tis kind of feeling. LOST meant lack of organizing , superior and timing. There are always have a reason why LOST, the fact is 14th Kuching is really far more prepared than 05th Kuching this time round. The camp that they built is undeniable of its high standard, a result of intense preparation.

I still remember the State Camp 2002 Backwood Cooking competition, I am the person who lead a patrol to win over the state. Today, 05th Kuching lost in district level, Is it something different due to standard? I felt sad, disappointed and no such way to fell down, hereby the fact still remaining in my heart for quite some days.

To those who participate in the camp, I know you all did put in lots of effort in the camp. Congratulations for securing the 2nd and 3rd if not the 1st. Thanks....
